Yugo Kochi was born on March 8, 1994, in Kanagawa, Japan. Despite having no initial plans to enter the entertainment industry, he joined Johnny & Associates in 2009 after winning an audition segment on the NTV variety program School Kakumei!. He was selected from more than 1,300 contestants to become a regular cast member.

Kochi made his acting debut as Makoto Jinbo in Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou, which premiered on April 14, 2012. In May 2015, he became a member of boy group SixTONES. Four years later, on August 8, 2019, the group announced its upcoming CD debut, before officially debuting on J…
