Ara is raised by her father, Amar, after her mother, Murni, dies in a road accident. Amar loves the late Murni too much. Amar's family begins to think about Ara who is growing up and needs the love and care of a mother. They suggest that Amar remarry. Amar is eventually forced to break his promise and marries Maria, a girl chosen by his parents. He does this for Ara's sake. However, Ara actually disagrees because she does not want to share her father's affection with someone else. Maria now realizes that Ara has become her 'enemy'.
